At Avatar, we continuously strive to enhance our users' experience and stay at the forefront of technology. In this update, we've introduced a series of new features and improvements designed to provide a smoother, more efficient, and secure experience. From advanced management of @usernames using blockchain technology to improvements in chat speed and control, each change is aimed at offering significant added value to our community.
Below, we detail the main new features and optimizations implemented in this version:
This feature, developed with blockchain technology, allows users to receive and send offers for the acquisition of @usernames. Within Avatar, each user owns their @username and can generate income by selling their digital property. Likewise, users can acquire better @usernames to improve their positioning or personal brand within the app.
Transactions are carried out through smart contracts. The bidder sends the amount they are willing to pay and sets a time limit for the transaction. If the limit is exceeded without receiving approval, the tokens are automatically returned to the owner. If the offer is accepted, the bidder obtains the new @username, and the seller receives the tokens and will need to create a new account.
It is important to note that all files, chats, and images from the previous account will be automatically deleted. Users must connect a wallet in Avatar to send and accept offers.
We have significantly improved the speed of chats, groups, and channels, creating a top-tier user experience when sharing messages, files, photos, videos, and audios. To achieve this, we modified the structure of various parts of the chat and optimized the source code.
We continue to work on improving the app's navigation speed, one of our next priorities.
We updated the main menu icons, replacing the old ones with animated icons for a more dynamic and visually appealing experience.
We implemented a feature to cancel the sending of messages, files, media, and audios before they are sent. This allows users to have greater control over their information within chats, groups, and channels.
Additionally, we have been updating the Avatar marketplace, also known as Avatar Shop. This section will offer multiple services and compete with industry giants. We are currently in the design process and there is no estimated date for its integration into the app, as we aim to release it in its best version, not as an alpha.
